What is Nanobot?

Nanobot is an open-source framework for building AI agents on top of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). While MCP servers traditionally function as collections of structured tools and functions, Nanobot extends this functionality by wrapping MCP servers with reasoning capabilities, system prompts, and tool orchestration features. The framework enables developers to transform basic MCP servers into fully-featured agents capable of more sophisticated decision-making and task execution.
